No price list on this page, and here is the honest reason why — plus everything that actually decides the number, so you can judge any quote you get. Ours included.
Because anyone who publishes one is either quoting a yard they have never seen, or quoting high enough to cover the yards they have never seen. Both of those cost you money.
Two properties on the same street, both a quarter acre, can be a thirty per cent difference in time on site. One is open grass with a gate a mower fits through. The other has four beds, a trampoline, a dog run, a drop to the back fence and a gate that does not fit a rider. Same square footage, different job.
So instead of a number you would have to discount anyway, here is exactly what moves it. If you read this and then get three quotes, you will know which one has actually thought about your property.
| Service | How it is priced | Walk needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Regular mowing | Per visit, on a schedule | No — usually quotable from the address and lot size |
| Cleanups & needle removal | Per visit, by how wooded the lot is | No, if you can tell us the tree cover |
| Beds, design, stone work | Per project | Yes. Always. |
| Land & lot clearing | By density, access and haul-off | Yes — access decides this more than acreage |
| Tree work | By what is underneath it, not its height | Yes |
| Drainage & grading | By cause, once we find it | Yes — quoting drainage off a photo is guessing |
An overgrown lawn costs more to cut, and not because anyone is penalising you. Grass left too long cannot be brought back to height in one pass without scalping it, so it takes extra passes, extra time and often a bagged cleanup instead of returned clippings.
Skipping visits to save money usually means paying more per cut and getting a worse lawn. If budget is the constraint, the better lever is stretching the interval during the slow parts of the year rather than skipping during peak growth. We will tell you when that is.
“What happens if it has grown more than expected when you arrive?” Some outfits cut it short to stay on time. Some add a charge without telling you. We stop and ask you before anything costs you more than quoted. Whoever you hire, get that answer before the first visit.
A cheaper quote is not cheaper if it covers less. Every mowing visit from us includes:
When you compare quotes, check whether edging and blow-down are included or extra. That is the most common place a low number stops being a low number.
For most residential mowing we can price it from your address and lot size without visiting. To get a number back the same day, tell us:
We answer the same day, and within 24 hours at the outside. If a job is not one we should be doing, we will say so and point you at someone who should — that is free too.
Same-day answer on most residential quotes. No obligation, and no number invented before we have looked.
